There are 39 Days left in 2011 What will you do with them?

It seems like as we approach Thanksgiving weekend we become resigned that the "year is over".

The Year's Over for reaching our annual goals.

We get into our heads that no one buys this time of year and that Sellers don't want to be bothered showing their homes.

The things we intended to do... A weekend away with your significant other, more time walking the dog, reading more, what ever it was you had hoped to do better or more of this year, never happened.

We all think this way, I've been doing it myself.

This morning, as I looked at the calender today showed as 326/39. Day 326 of the year, but 39 days left. 39 days is 5 and one half WEEKS!

You can't just toss 5 plus weeks out the window because you didn't accomplish what you hoped! 39 days is 936 hours of time to get things done. Sure, you need to shop for the holidays. There's travel time, cooking...

But you can still get a lot done in 39 days. So before you toss out 2011, and begin planning for 2012, revisit those goals. Make those phone calls. Write those blog posts. People do buy and sell in December.

The reason why December is the slowest month of the year is because the Realtors quit going to work! And if you had other goals, besides business, that you didn't quite get to, work on those too.

I know that I need 22 more subscribers to reach one of my goals. That means I need to write a bunch of quality posts between now and the end of the year. That's just ONE of my goals that I'm not giving up on!

My New Years resolution for 2010.

This year as I reflect on 2009 and look forward to 2010 I have decided to commit to writing at least 3 blogs each week this coming year. Last year as I worked on my business plan for 2010 I decided that 50% of my business would come from the internet. To achieve this goal I have determined that an active and informative blog will be necessary.

To be active I know that there must consistently be new fresh information. New and fresh means at least 3 times a week. So to you my friends and readers, I make that promise to you!

2009 was a difficult year for me. The economy slowed down and in February my dear Aunt Margaret passed away. She was 100. I had spoken to her after dinner and then a couple of hours later they called to say that she was gone. Her death, in itself, would have been a sad part of the year, but that's not where it ended. She left me to be a co-executor with a distant cousin that I didn't even know.

We spent the next 5 months sorting and cleaning a 100 year old house that had 3700 square feet of stuff packed everywhere. We went through everything to make sure that nothing was missed. Besides the incredible things that we found, beautiful friendships were made. Ann and Ellen will forever be, not just cousins, but friends.

I am really looking forward to 2010. I truly believe that it will be a great year. Not just for business, but for personal growth as I continue to expand my knowledge for technology and improve my writing skills.
