When Looking at Homes, What should I be Looking For?

Many times you already have your Wish List prepared, but is that really enough?
Buying a home is a huge investment. This is where you're going to call Home for several years probably. Your home often plays a major role in the life of your family so you want to make sure you're making a good investment. This home needs to fit your lifestyle and that of your family members.
When you're looking at homes, here are a few things to ask yourself when looking at a home:
Are there enough bathrooms? How many people are in your family? Do you have guests often?
Will the furniture that you have now fit in this home. Will it work the way that you want/need it to?
Is there enough room for you and your family now? and in the future? Are you planning to grow your family immediately? Will the increase in people still work with this home?
Does the floor plan flow in a manner that will work with your family?
Is there enough Storage or Closet space?
How much work do you need to do to the home to make it work for you? This could be maintenance items or changes in decor. Do you have to do it now or can it be done at a later date?
How is the yard? Will it be easy to maintain? Is it large enoug
h? Small enough?
What activities do you do at home that need their own space? This could include the number of people who need a bedroom. It could also be office/music/play or crafting that needs it's own space.
Working with a good Realtor will help you to answer these questions. They will ask you a lot about your lifestyle and outside activities that help you make a good choice when purchasing your home.
