Renters can now protect themselves by making sure that the property they're 
considering renting, or already renting, is not in Foreclosure.
Renters often fall victim to the Foreclosure system by being totally unaware that their landlord has fallen behind on their mortgage.
A new website CheckYourLandlord.com, launched in July, gives renters the ability to check on the property. They can see if a Notice of Default has been filed on almost any property in the country. And it's Free!
