My Top 10 Blog Posts in 2010
Yesterday I was reading Emily Medvec's post about her top Blog posts of 2010. I found her results so interesting that I decided to go look at my own. What I really wanted to find out was if a certain type of post did better than another. Here are my top 10 for 2010 and what I learned from studying them.
1. When Prospecting is Just Tacky, 1741 clicks, 138 comments
2. 31 Days Challenge for January- Points Update - 1738 clicks, 169 comments
3. Summer in NashvilleThings to do Part 1 - 1130 clicks, 24 comments
4. Active Adult Communities in Nashville TN Maury County - 877 clicks, 22 comments
5. 31 Day Challenge for January My New Years Resolution - 790 clicks, 119 comments
6. Nashville TN Flood of 2010- 723 clicks, 11 comments
7. Summer in Nashville Thing to Do Part 2 - 612 clicks, 3 comments
8. Nashville TN Free Bus Routes Downtown - 609 clicks, 5 comments
9. Vote for your favorite American Park - 513 clicks, 6 comments
10. Active Rain why do I not get emails from you anymore? - 510 clicks, 40 comments
At first, I had them listed by the number of views. But views don't mean that they actually read the post. Then, when you look at those that got lots of comments, the title pretty much tells you that the Members of AR were the more likely readers.
Things about the community in general then got the next most clicks. This just reinforces what Bob Stewart says about Localism. Write about what's happening in your area!
