Of the top 5 Most Business Friendly towns in Tennessee, 4 of them are located here in Middle Tennessee with Mt. Juliet on top! The other three are located in Williamson County and are Brentwood, Spring Hill and Franklin. The ratings reflect the cities' commitment to bring in new businesses by "creating a business friendly climate free of stifling taxes and restrictive regulatory burdens" says Justin Owens, the president of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.
The top 50 largest cities of the state are rated on job growth, school graduation rates, crime, taxes and job growth. Spring Hill was rated number one in 2007. Mount Juliet in the past 2 years has seen a 22% growth increase. Located in Wilson county, which has the second highest median income in the state. Sitting 17 miles east of Nashville TN, and just 15 minutes to Nashville International Airport, it's no wonder that many are choosing to call Mt Juliet home.
Brentwood, Spring Hill and Franklin just continue to grow both their populations and the business opportunities. All three are in Williamson County which provides 39% of the new work force in the greater Nashville area. Williamson County has had numerous corporations move there headquarters to the Brentwood Franklin area bringing many jobs to the area.
