Farmers Market in Lenox Village in South Nashville!
Started this May, it is now open every Saturday from 7am to 1pm in the central Common area by the Gazebo. Lenox Village has become a popular destination as it sits near the county line between Davidson and Williamson counties. Located just off Nolensville road, south of Old Hickory Blvd and north of Nolensville and Concord Road.
This morning I stopped by Jackie's booth and bought a couple of HOMEMADE sausage and biscuits for only 50 cents each! Delicious is just an understatement for these yummie treats. She had homemade brownies, cakes breads and many other things.
The farmers market in Lenox Village is scheduled to be run from early spring through October. Current vendors include Morning Glory Orchard, Walnut Hill Farms, Petty Branch Farms, Jackie’s Deserts, Ma Bella, and Leann Homemade Gourmet.
Shoppers can find freshly grown local vegetables, Goat cheese products from Ma Bella - including milk soap, lotion and detergent, jewelry and many other items. This is likely to grow as neighbors discover this ideal place to pick up fresh vegetables.
The Lenox Village neighborhood was designed as a residential community with walk to businesses and restaurants. It has taken several years for there to be more than a small handful of businesses in the community.
With the addition of a Farmers Market in Lenox Village, south Nashvillians now can shop locally instead of driving across town for the same selections.
Neighbors across the street living in Bradford Hills and Holt Woods can easily walk to this great little market.

I'm used to haunting farmer's markets in my area. I stop anywhere I see one with parking.
However, today, on the way to the market following my Saturday a.m. workout at my fabulous gym with my fabulous trainer, I stopped at the big, big Farmer's Market in Leesburg.
I went with my camera to get some photos to send to some buyers and post on AR.
Nope. Very disappointed. The prices were 2-3 times normal. Not me.
Lenn - if I wasn't so lazy, I could walk to this one. It's across the street from my neighborhood. Of course I'm in the back and it's actually a mile to the front. I guess I can use the excuse that the sun beating on the tomatoes isn't good for them! LOL
Just thought I'd take a look at a few of these new Localism posts. I enjoyed reading yours. I've been meaning to get out to our farmer's markets too, but I've heard they're quite expensive. However, I do believe in supporting local business people.
Joetta - I can assure you that you will not find tomatoes at the grocery like what you find at the farmers market. Yes everything else is somewhat more expensive but it's so fresh and that's what I love!
This looks like a great little addition to your area, and sausage and biscuits for 50 cents. You're making me hungry.
I love the farmer market shopping - I have 3 each week that frequent. I tell my husband it's against my religion to go into a grocery store. I guess if I had a Whole Foods or Fresh Market, I could make an exception, but without them you'll only see me at Winn Dixie or Publix if it is a dire emergency.
I love Farmer's Markets...I just never get to one. We have several International Markets close to the house, and they have some awesome produce and meats...and then you go through the other aisles and I see stuff I don't know how what you would even do with it! LOL!
I gotta find some more markets in my area and check them out!
Hmmmm....do I hear a blog topic?
Connie, How exciting about Lenox Village. I didn't realize you lived there :) Love that area! I love Farmers markets. I enjoy the fresh fruits and veggies and whatever else pops up. Sausage biscuit for 50 cents? You can't beat that!
Congratulations on your feature! Hope you are doing well.
Hi Connie
This is a great time of the year to visit a farmers market, I did it last week and get some great produce.
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
Looks like a fine place to pick up fresh produce and baked goods. We have a few here too.
I love Lennox Village. Sausage and bisquits for 50 cents?
My little Southern mouth is watering.
Farmers Markets are always great fun. We usually find some good bargains on fresh goodies at ours! Have a great Sunday.
Christine - We ran out before I had had a chance to eat anything and I was really hungry. Got even hungrier when I saw her pulling out the biscuits!
An - I used to live in Italy and they had markets 6 days a week. Unfortunately it's almost Saturday or nothing at all!
Thom - why don't you google it and see what comes up. Then after you do the blog, google again and see if your post comes up!!!
Elizabeth - I live across the street right now. Hoping to move this year and I'll have to find another market! I'll be emailing you. We have a road-trip to put on your schedule!!!
Lou - It's what I love best about summer.
Russ -this market is still small but has great potential to grow. I go to the one in Franklin every other week to pick up my CSA share. It's huge.
Missy - come on down!!! LOL
Yvette and Dennis - yes they're wonderful. There were lots of Blackberries yesterday and I love the homemade baked and canned things.
