Lighting up Brentwood TN this Saturday!
The Annual Lighting up Brentwood TN happens again this Saturday! Hundreds of homeowners will light luminaries along the streets in front of their homes. Decorating your home with Christmas decorations has become an outdoor sport in this popular suburb of Nashville TN. Often block after block of homes compete for the most elaborate display. You can be sure that Saturday night those with Christmas light decorations will have them on.
Cars will drive up and down the streets of Brentwood's finest neighborhoods just to see the fabulous light displays. From east Concord Road to the homes in neighborhoods along Franklin Road dazzling lights will be everywhere.
For almost 20 years this tradition of Lighting up Brentwood on the 2nd Saturday in December has delighted local families and their visitors.
We will have friends come down from Hermitage to ride with us as we ooh and aah over the different decorations. Make this a Holiday Tradition and join us in Brentwood tomorrow night. You won't be disappointed!

I never knew this. I'm so excited, I've wanted to take my kids somewhere every year. We have a few great ones here but no so much. Thanks for sharing.
Love the Christmas lights, no matter where they are! Wish I was closer so I can see your lights too. BTW, how long is the drive from Nashville to MV or Asheville?
We love to drive the neighborhoods in Brentwood to marvel at all the wonderful decorations. They all do it up right.
Lighting Up Brentwood TN This Saturday would of been WAY more fun if I would of been there! Can you let me know a bit sooner next year?
What a perfect excuse for a road trip to Nashville...altho I hope I don't wait that long to do it!
Hugs!
Hi Connie! Great Localism post for Lighting Up Brentwood TN ! Hope you have a wonderful time! Like Thom, I'd love to be able to join you!
Have a wonderful weekend...
Connie - I look forward to this each year. I hope several properties participate this year. We fill up our thermos and love to drive around.
Connie Scheduling the event as "whole time" shows lots of community spirit - makes Brentwood a "cool" place to put down stakes
Connie, how fun would that be - Karen & Art could head down, pick up Lee and me, we'll head over for Debe, and then grab Susie and Thom - road trip to Brentwood! Oh well, I can dream.... I do remember though that we used to do something similar when we lived in Montreal... Lots and lots of Christmas lights and of course snow! Oh and Christmas caroling parties! Great memories! Enjoy
Connie,
Looking at these houses every year has been a tradition for us for about 10 years. I always look forward to it!
Good news to have gotten out for those unaware of it. I hope it was successful!
Wow! I'm so sorry to all of you. I've been sick and didn't see that anyone had commented!!!
Sherry - Our friends came down from Hermitage and we all went for the ride. Unfortunately few people put out the luminaries because it started to rain! The lights still looked great.
Susie - I love Christmas lights too. Anywhere! I think it took me about 4 1/2 hours to get to Asheville in November. I drive fast. :)
Mike - we hadn't gone in a few years so we were ready for it Saturday.
Thom - I'm going to give you several months notice. Then I expect to see you and Ray here!
Debe - I'm happy to have the gang here next December!
Kenneth - what exactly do you put in that thermos?LOL
Karen - We have so many great things to see and do during the holidays. Tomorrow I'm taking my husband to the Tuba Christmas Concert downtown. It's free with them asking for a donation to the Church to feed the homeless. How can you not???
Pamela - I couldn't agree more! Ditto to what I said to Thom. More notice, lots of time to plan a road trip! :)
Hello Connie!
Thanks for the info, but I was OUT OF TOWN in CHICAGO last weekend and missed it!
Have you seen the XMAS house on HOLT ROAD & REDMOND Lane?? I spoke to the guy, and you need to be retired to keep up with the blown bulbs!
Is there a HALLOWEEN area theme?? If not, we are starting one next year! HUGE PARTY at our place!
Take care,
Darin
Anthea - We don't go every year but at least every 2 to 3 years. It's such fun!
Diane - There was a little rain so the streets were not as full of cars as usual. Made driving a little easier!
Darin - I actually live very close to the house on Holt Road. It's quite the site. Yes, indeed, you should start a Halloween theme party! Keep me posted about it.
Connie I commented before, but just stopped by to wish you Merry Christmas anf s prosperous 2010
Hi Connie, Merry Christmas..thanks for the note. Headed out of town somewhere...see you next year!
Verlyn
PS Working on a new plan...Let's call it Project V. I'll let you know how it works!
How fun! I love seeing the lights around town this time of year!
