Middle Tennessee's Weather, not for the Faint of Heart!

Can you say HOT!
The Heat Index will hit 115 Degrees today with high humidity. City officials are warning citizens to stay inside whenever possible. The blistering heat is killing lawns and landscaping.
Neighbors are asked to check on neighbors. Especially the elderly and anyone without Air Conditioning.
Keep you car filled up. You don't want to get stuck in traffic and run out of gas. Walking in this heat is dangerous.
Exercising should be done in the early morning hours as the temperature increases throughout the day.
Yesterday it was still 85 Degrees at Dusk! The low was 77! We are all hoping this won't last much longer!
Stay Cool!!

Whew! I'm in NW Alabama and it was 86 degrees here last night at 10 pm. Heat index was 112 degrees yesterday afternoon. Right now, its 96 with a heat index of 115. I'm ready for this to end!!! :)
Hi Connie,
We are getting the weather on the east end of the state. Great advice!
Connie- you guys should head to Florida for some "cool" weather! It's only about 80 degrees now at 8:45PM
What a dreadful day!!!
Hi Connie - my family deodorant just failed while reading your blog.
Amanda - You and me both! How can it be 86 at 10pm? But it was!!
Cindy - Stay as cool as you can!
Kathy - It's a mixed up world when it's more comfortable in Florida. Tempted to head your way!
Kristine - today is already better than yesterday. If we get the much needed rain this afternoon it should improve some more.
Conrad - What can I say. I was at a listing appointement and they had just turned on the AC so it was still hot. My hair was dripping wet in the back before I finished. Less that 30 minutes. Couldn't talk fast enough to get out of there!
We are having record cool days. We usually have our first 90 degree day by now, but they are thinking we could set a record with the latest 90 degree day ever. We actually just had our first 9 days without rain since last July.

Todd - What I wouldn't give for some weather like that!!
Hi Connie, Oh my gosh and I thought we were hot. I guess you take it slow and limit outdoor activities. Our area was up to 100 heat index yesterday. Today it is so nice with the drop in humidity. I hope you are getting some relief!
An elderly family friend of mine died a few weeks ago who lived alone with no a/c on during a heat wave....it happens.
Thanks for stopping by to say hi to me! I appreciate it!
Have a great weekend and do things that keep you cool!
Gloria
Gloria - It's already better here too. I'm hoping to get in a good run this weekend.
The heat over there has been making the nightly news over here. Be safe, and don’t be afraid to play in the water if you get hot!
Eric - It seems like the worst of it is over finally!
We are nice and cool.....a mere 80 degrees! It's funny to consider that cool but it's so much more pleasant that what we've had.
Have a great weekend Connie!
