A Quiet Day at Home!

A Quiet Day at Home!

Many of you know that I bought a home last summer and spent the fall fixing it up. I blogged about Christmas here and about finally moving in FebruaryMy Quiet Time.

I don't talk a lot about by house, but I love it. It's still a work in progress.

Friday I got the email I've been waiting for. My new Ottoman was in. I had lots to do on Friday, but I raced over to the decorator's anyway. I wanted to have it to enjoy this weekend. Kind of a Birthday present to ME. :)

I brought my laptop home from the office today after Church. I planned to get some work done. Instead I find myself sitting in the newly covered armchair with my feet on my ottoman enjoying my bedroom. Finally complete.

Lots to do in other rooms, but this, my retreat, is complete.

We sold our beach house in 2008 and I've missed that quiet place away. I told the decorator that this room had to replace that. Note, the beachy color? This is the color of my room. I'd show it to you but I'm enjoying my quiet time too much to go get batteries for my camera!

You'll just have to enjoy whatever photos I find to slip in here!

Happy Sunday to all of you. I will be relaxed and refreshed tomorrow when I kick back into action!!!

There is nothing that compares to that quiet little place that we let our thoughts escape. Enjoy!

Connie, I am not sure you have the new home set up this way, but with the new Ottoman and your house having wireless WiFi set up you could blog or play on the Internet with your laptop that way. The new home sounds so relaxing. Good for you!!!

Dinah - Yes, everyone should have that special place where they can go to recharge!

Gary - This is the home we hope to live in forever. Each change we make is to enjoy it long term. Thank you!

Connie, are you still in Nashville or did you move to some exotic beach somewhere? Sounds like you have a great retreat.

Connie, it is the little things in life, like an ottoman, that can make a day perfect!

Eric - It's as close as I'll get to a beach for a while! I love Nashville, but I miss the beach!

Conrad - I'm thinking a titi hut in the backyard. I'll have to ask the landscaper to incorporate it into the design. :)

Andrea - The little things really make the difference!
