Locals and visitors alike will find plenty to do in Nashville this Forth of July!


Start the day with the Music City July 4th 5k/10k run in downtown Nashville. Registration opens at 7am with the race beginning at 8 in the Public Square at 2nd Avenue North and Union. $40 all proceeds benefit the Salvation Army. For more details go to


Hot Chicken FestivalAfter you work up an appetite, head to the Music City Hot Chicken Festival at East Park, 700 Woodland Street. Local restaurants will be serving up Nashville's famous Hot Chicken between 11am and 3. There will be live music, other food vendors and Yazoo Brewing will be serving beer!


Then you certainly don't want to miss Nashville's fabulous Music City July 4th: Let Freedom Sing. The festivities begin downtown at noon and go through the day until the fireworks begin at 9:45.

Nashville, as a music capital along with Austin, must be incredibly fun on July 4.  Sounds like there is going to be a lot of great chicken in Nashville tomorrow! Enjoy it!

Joanna - The weather was the best it's been all year. High 70s with no humidity. I spent the whole weekend outside!
