Recycle your 2014 Christmas Cards!

Recycle Christmas Cards

Christmas Cards are everywhere and as we dismantle the tree and decorations, don't forget to also recycle your Christmas Cards! I don't mean throw them into the recycle bin at home, but mail them off to St Jude's Ranch for Children!

St. Jude's Ranch for Children will turn your used Christmas Cards into NEW Cards by adding new backs. These new cards are then sold and the money is used to support their programs for "abused, neglected and homeless children, young adults and families"

So Recycle Those Christmas Cards and support a worthy program!

Mail donations to:

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children Recycled Card Program 100 St. Jude’s Street Boulder City, NV 89005

That's a neat idea!  I also have a neat home made Christmas ornament I make out of quarter sized cut outs of old Christmas cards.

Connie, that is such a great cause!  I wish I had known this sooner, I still had cards from two years ago (material for a different post) and threw them all out.  Thanks!

Connie, what a great idea!  This is a great idea, especially as so many cards are way too pretty not to recycle.

Posted by Patricia Kennedy, Home in the Capital (RLAH Real Estate) over 3 years ago

Connie, I get so few Christmas cards that I really don't need to recycle them.  I guess mailing out Christmas cards is becoming a lost art.

We buy Christmas cards that are timeless so they can be used year after year.  It will be great to send off the old ones to this organization.

Posted by Kevin Mackessy, Dedicated. Qualified. Local. (Blue Olive Properties, LLC) over 3 years ago

Thanks, I did not know this. What an great thought. Also....recycling those used Christmas cards is also a good idea.  It is great when you have a paper recycling bin in your home, community or office.

Posted by Janice Hope Zaltman Realtor,LEED AP (United Realty Group) over 3 years ago

Joan - Isn't it great! Keep them out of the trash, someone uses them and money goes to a good cause.

Praful - That's ok too. Memories are important.

John - Great! Don't forget birthday and thank you cards!

Andrea - You just can't keep them all. There are too many.
