Help! My keys are sticking or something!

I don’t know if it’s me or ActiveRain but I’ve been trying to write a couple of posts and it seems like the keys on my laptop are sticking when I write. I think it’s AR. I’m writing this in word and am having NO problem whatsoever.

I seem to recall this happening the last time I was here. Maybe that has added to my lack of posting. It’s impossible to write.

Sometimes, when I’m typing, only some of the letters show up. Sometimes they show up late. It’s infuriating!

Must I write everything in Word and then copy and paste it???

Am I the only one having this problem??

Good morning, Connie Harvey -

I can't use Word in AR. It just gave me too much grief. I use Google Docs then copy and paste with no problem. Well, 99.9% of the time. I suggest you contact the staff if your problem persists.

It seems like it is "pressing problem". I have this problem in other areas of the computer also. Although for me, I find there is a direct correlation to eating glazed donuts while typing. Oh well, I hope the sticky situation improves for you.

Connie- I used Word once when I started here and never again.  I do what John (#1) and write my post in Google Docs first.  Never had a problem with it.

John - I have heard that. Now I just have to go learn it.

Jeffrey - I guess I need to call the help line. Who has time?.

Kathy - I'm sure it's easy if I'll just go there and learn it. I so prefer just writing here

I have been having some short talks with God lately while writing and rewriting portions of my blogs.

I haven't had that problem before, but there's a first time for everything.

Connie, I did experience that problem as I use AR exclusively when writing my posts.  It does occur at times.  I will keep typing and the words appear on about a 5-10 second delay.  It is very frustrating.  Happens whether I use IE or Google as the browser.

Hi Connie Harvey.  I thought it was only me.  I guess I can't blame my laptop any longer.

Connie, I've seen significant differences between trying to compose in IE on Liz's laptop and my laptop using Firefox.  There's a lot slower response on hers than on mine.

Connie - I post to word and then copy to AR because I have lost posts I write directly in AR. It is an extra step, but AR is too untrustworthy to post directly in it.

Chris Ann - I just realized that I used to use firefox. I think I need to install it.

Bruce - I'm going to change my browser now and see if that doesn't clear it up.

Linda - I know it's not my laptop because it types fine everywhere else.

Lenn - I tried that over and over. I just upgraded my version of Firefox and the problem is fixed!

Bliz - Unbelieveable difference. I will not go back to the old way of doing this!

Troy -I wouldn't mind the extra steps but I couldn't even comment without being frustrated.

I have had what you are talking about. It requires a complete shutdown to correct. I also clear the cache and that seems to help. It has been a few days now since I have seen it.
